MIAMI, FL - Girl Power will be hosting their 7th Annual Brunch Extravaganza on Sunday, November 3rd from 2:00- 4:30 PM. The Brunch will be held at Beth David Congregation.
The Brunch will feature a performance by The Girl’s Choir of Miami, as well as a guest performance by a well-known artist. Guests will also enjoy a delicious brunch prepared by a local celebrity chef.
During the event, Chairwoman Audrey M. Edmonson will be receiving the Girl Power’s 2019 Girl Power Rocks Legacy Award for her exemplary leadership, achievements, and invaluable contributions to Miami Dade County. The Legacy Award is presented annually to a bold and courageous trailblazing woman or girl who “Rocks” in her community, owns her power, perseveres in the face of adversity and stands in “her truth,” no matter what.
“The Brunch extravaganza is an amazing event that appeals to music and food lovers of all backgrounds,” stated Thema Campbell, Girl Power Founder and CEO. “We invite everyone to attend and support our 7th Annual Brunch Extravaganza, and help Girl Power break the cycle of poverty and trauma by empowering young girls to become who they were meant to be.”
All proceeds from the event will help fund Girl Power’s intervention and prevention programs and services including after-school, mentoring and the Girls’ Choir of Miami.
