"When women support each other, incredible things happen."
In April Girl Power Rocks hosted, along with the Florida Girls Initiative and the Office of Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, the "It Takes A Village" Florida Girls Summit. It was absolutely amazing to be surrounded by people whose goal is to inspire the lives of girls. The energy present was contagious, as women and girls were working together to ultimately discuss, brainstorm and strategize a plan that would safeguard and enlighten young girls.
Throughout my life I have worked with some remarkable people, who share my vision and understand my mission. I know that one person can make a tremendous difference, but with a coalition of changemakers the impact is profound. Coming together with a common mission and commitment to its completion - is unity. Uniting with women from all across the Florida, who are champions and advocates for others, creates a positive and long lasting ripple effect for countless girls.
The "It Takes A Village" Florida Girls Summit highlighted the work Girl Power Rocks does and will continue to do in the community, while also shining a light on the work that needs to be done. I am committed, more so than ever...to collectively working with others to put programs and initiatives in place that will reach and help girls.

Access DMC generously donated swag bags for all the girls who attended the "It Takes a Village" Florida Girls Summit. During the summit the girls received important information and keepsakes, and these cute bags helped them keep all their items together.

This groundbreaking summit brought girls together in person and virtually from all over the state of Florida to discuss key issues. We are already eagerly anticipating next year's summit. 2. Ohhh what a night to remember!!! Girl Power Rocks Class of 2023 Seniors had an unforgettable experience at this year's prom thanks to Sharonda Boone. Sharonda donated the full prom experience for all our girls. They each were gifted dresses, along with other prom must haves to make them look and feel beautiful. Thank you, Sharonda, for empowering these young women and making their dreams come true!
