Aisha Mannings
Board of Directors Interim-Chairwoman
Aisha has served on the board for 8 years, leading Girl Power’s Marketing & Community Engagement Committee. She is a Senior Revenue Manager at Celebrity Cruises of Royal Caribbean Group, with extensive experience in Revenue Management, Sales Strategy, Marketing, Analytics, Finance, & IT Business Solutions. Aisha is a mentor to young teens and an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.

Michaele Rachlin
Head of Chair of Mama Hattie's House
Michaele is currently secretary and committee chair for Mama Hattie’s House. She previously served as Board Secretary in 2024. She previously served as Board Chair and has been a Girl Power volunteer and supporter since 2009.
Michaele’s business career includes project management and senior leadership roles with Lennar, Nielsen, LNR Property Corporation, Sunglass Hut, Kraft Foods and more. She founded MDR Management Consulting, and provides project management, data analytics and IT advisory services to start-ups, businesses of all sizes, and not-for-profit organizations.
Michaele earned a BA from Macalester College and completed two years of post-graduate work in Educational Psychology at the University of Minnesota. She lived and studied in Argentina, and is fluent in Spanish.

Laudy Luna
Treasurer
Laudy is a managing partner at CRL Law Group, specializing in commercial litigation and bankruptcy law. She has served as Girl Power’s treasurer and on the finance committee for several years.

Dr. Minca Brantley
Dr. Minca Brantley is a Miami native, Professor, Psychologist, and Social Justice activist. Dr. Brantley believes that enriching the lives of others is critical to strengthening society. She earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University and is driven to redefine the classroom by bringing real-world learning experiences to inspire her psychology students to live their best lives. Harnessing the transformative power of a college education, Dr. Brantley co-founded and co-directs the Institute for Educational Empowerment at MDC which seeks to bring higher education programs behind prison walls in Florida. Dr. Brantley's life work is to work diligently for social justice while helping others live their best lives.

Michele Edwards-Collie
Michele Edwards-Collie has over 30 years of banking experience. Michele specializes in providing down payment assistance and homebuyer education for first time homebuyers in the South Florida community. Michele currently serves as City National Bank of Florida’s Senior Vice President and Director of Community Reinvestment. She is also the President and one of the founding members of City National’s African American Employee resource group, Onyx. She is proud to represent the Bank’s diversity and inclusion efforts.

Cherise G. Gause
Chief Cherise Giordani Gause brings over 30 years of distinguished service in law enforcement and public safety to her role. Starting as a civilian dispatcher with the Miami Police Department in 1993, she climbed the ranks to become First Assistant Chief of Police before retiring in 2023. Shortly thereafter, she was appointed as the fifteenth Chief of Police for the North Miami Police Department. Chief Gause is a fervent advocate for community engagement, constitutional policing, and public safety.

Born in New York and raised in South Florida, Chief Gause is a second-generation Haitian-American. She holds a Master’s in Organizational Leadership from Union Institute and University, a Bachelor’s in Public Administration from Barry University, and an Associate’s in Criminal Justice from Miami-Dade College. Her advanced training includes the FBI National Academy and several other elite policing institutes.

Chief Gause has earned numerous accolades for her leadership and service and is involved in various professional and civic organizations, including the Miami-Dade County Association of Chiefs of Police, NOBLE, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Misty Brown
Misty Brown is returning to our board of directors. She has worked for elected officials on all levels of federal, state, and local government, and as a consultant for municipalities. She is a dynamic advocate for youth development, joining the board with a passion for creating positive change in the lives of young girls.
