GP! Success Stories
Cath'Almanda M. Taylor-Bringier

I'm 14 years old. I was a student at Jose De Diego middle school and now I will be attending Miami Arts Charter School to study music. I've been in the Girl Power Program since 2007.

I have learned more about how to get along with other kids of other cultures. I have also learned not to judge others before I know them. The program has taught me to respect my family, friends and others. Girl Power is a place of challenge. There are people who will get under your skin and you have to know how to control your temper and what you will say.

The staff at Girl Power has so much to offer us, the young ladies. I know more about how to present myself to society. There is much more to learn and I will take it all in.

I LOVE Girl Power, the staff and all the groups that are involved with them as well as the mentoring program with Ms. Michelle. My mentor is great. People think that we are sisters. Whatever event there is that I'm involved in, she's right there. On my 'Advancement Day' she had just got back in to town and straight from the airport she came. Who was sitting there with my mom, watching? My mentor - Ms. Joyce Davis.

Thanks Girl Power, for all that you do for the young ladies of the future and the community.
